Surgery and Anesthesia

 Surgery

Our surgical suite allows us to perform a wide variety of surgical procedures including spays and neuters, soft tissue procedures, and foreign body removals. Referrals to specialists may be recommended, if required, for some orthopedic, ophthalmic, and soft tissue procedures. All surgeries will be booked in advance and are typically done in the morning so your pet can go home with you that afternoon. We will provide a quote prior to your surgery day. Please call the clinic if you have any questions or concerns and we would be happy to discuss them with you.

Anesthesia

Anesthesia can be a scary thing for many clients, especially for those with senior or high-risk pets. Please know that your pet’s general and cardiovascular health will be carefully assessed at each appointment and before their procedure. The veterinarian will review their full medical history, including their response to anesthesia during previous procedures, and this will allow the veterinarian to develop the safest and most appropriate anesthetic protocol for your pet. Vital signs and parameters are closely monitored by trained staff during all anesthetic procedures and during recovery.
